Little Bit of a Site Update

Friday, March 27th, 2009

© Greg Wasserstrom

I tweaked my website a little bit this week, combining work from La Brea, The Doldrums with some newer stuff to make one body of work called USA! USA! I initially put it together for my Yale application earlier this year and liked what I came up with. I’ll also tell you that the series here is different in a pretty substantial way from the what I sent to New Haven: it has all the sexy photographs taken out. I’m not trying to be a spoil sport, it’s just that the women who modeled withheld permission to post them on the internet.

Another new addition to the site, if you’re interested, is the Blog About Technology, I started it because I’m a huge fucking geek and read more about the iPhone than I do about the economy or politics or art or literature. I’ve made three posts over there so far, which, sadly, is way better than I’ve done over here lately. I’ll try and fix it.

Also: I love you. Keep it real.

Some Sick New Gear

I’m still lusting after a Mamiya 7 rangefinder, but here’s something for those of you with an interest in new high-end digital gear: Mamiya’s new 33mp medium format digital SLR. It’s not a true “medium format” camera in the old school sense of the term, but the sensor is about twice the size of a 35mm frame. It’s priced at around $20,000. Start saving.
