Free iPhone App Can Identify Fonts
This is for real. WhatTheFont by developer MyFonts does for design what Shazam did for music. If you see some type on a sign or something that you like but can’t identify just snap a picture of it and send it in. If you’re using WiFi, WhatTheFont will return your answer in about 20 seconds. It’s not perfect and sometimes has some hiccups but still pretty fucking cool. If you don’t happen to have an iPhone, you can still snap a picture with whatever cell phone you’re packing send it in thru the website.
