It seems my whole life has come to a complete standstill
I’m not trying to complain here. The idea is not to throw a pity party. I’m mostly just curious how everyone else out there is faring what with this apocalyptic economic situation and all. I’ll say that for my part, it seems that my life has come to a complete standstill. Blogging no longer pays due to an absense of advertising revenue and the handful of photographers that take me on their commercial shoots with them aren’t working too much for essentially the same reason. Tim Barber is off in LA for a couple months and things seem slow over at Humble Arts also, leaving me with a surplus of free time. I use these totally free daytime hours stalking Craigslist for work, refreshing every 36 seconds or so, but it seems that so many other people are doing exactly the same thing that my inquiries almost never receive any kind of response. It’s the craziest thing. I say we form a union and collectively bargain with the State of New York to institute some kind of artist assistance wellfare program so that I don’t have to move back in with my parents.
